Plot Synopsis and a Love Interest for "Rush Hour 3"
by Scott Weinberg | September 25, 2006
Discuss Article
We recently learned that Max Von Sydow, Roman Polanski, and Hiroyuki Sanada would be appearing in Brett Ratner's "Rush Hour 3," and now we get word on who'll be the resident female (Noemie Lenoir), plus a bit of the plot breakdown as well...

From ComingSoon.net by way of Variety: "The four-month shoot is set to start Sunday in Paris, where (Chris) Tucker's and (Jackie) Chan's characters will battle a wing of a Chinese organized crime family. In a rare appearance in a comedy, von Sydow will portray the head of the World Criminal Court, while French actress Lenoir will be the love interest for Tucker's character.

New Line has set an Aug. 10 release date. The original "Rush Hour" launched in September 1998, and "Rush Hour 2" opened in August 2001; the duo combined for nearly $600 million in worldwide grosses."

Rush Hour 1 and 2 didn't have plots. Why should this one?

How, exactly, did Ratner land Max von Sydow, Roman Polanski, and Hiroyuki Sanada? I call shenanigans. I bet they are on screen for all of 30 seconds (if they're even actualy in the film).
