Uwe Boll Beats Up Critics; His Movies Remain Awful
by Scott Weinberg | September 26, 2006
Discuss Article
Remember when Uwe Boll promised to get into the boxing ring with a bunch of his most outspoken critics? Well, he got into the ring with a handful of goofballs, beat 'em all up, and then went back to production on "Seed" or "Postal" or "Dungeon Siege."

Click right here to see the fights in all their humiliating glory.

I really hope this doesn't start a new precedent; who'd want to see Steven Spielberg boxing Richard Roeper?

that hack just fought people without previous boxing experience, and pummeled the snot out of them. Although it was amusing to see Lowtax get creamed, Uwe didn't honour his original agreement. The same could be said about his movies...

Yup. Reportedly, one of the guys had some amateur boxing experience and Boll refused to fight him.
Nice. Sounds like a pretty archetypal bully.

well, he wanted publicity, and he got it. just like the publicity he gets with his crappy movies. the way i see it...he makes money and he has fun doing what he does. how can he complain?

way to go Uwe, you pummeled a 17-year-old "amateur boxer" who isn't even old enough to drink, vote, or even drive in some states. you beat up a rail-thin high school junior, way to prove you're a real man's man!

but wait!
bloodrayne was great... kristina loken got a little fat, her boobs are now saggy, and it was overall one of the worst movies i've ever seen.

More People
More people have watched these fight videos than his movies. That is pathetic Uwe. What about us? The poor unfortunate consumer. When will we be able to line up and box Uwe? I want my $8 back from House of the Dead. After that, I quit watching his garbage.

What did he think would happen? He goes on a nerd beating rampage and suddenly his imdb scores go up to an average of 8? Regardless of how many minors he can knock out, he's still an idiot, his films still suck, and he's still the butt of all sorts of jokes.

He's like a child, with his "I'll punch my way out!" mentality.

Heh... great title Scott. I wasn't going to read yet ANOTHER story about this dumb Uwe Boll stunt, but after seeing the title, I just had to click...

Alone in the dark is one of the worst and unintentionaly funniest movies I've seen. Tara Reid as a SCIENTIST?!? It's that awful!! I was howling with laughter watching her stagger around trying to act!

on the other hand- Uwe does absolutely suck and no amount of publicity stunts will change that.
