Favreau Wants Your "Iron Man" Casting Input
by Scott Weinberg | October 17, 2006
Discuss Article
There's no denying that director Jon Favreau has been keeping fans close to the "Iron Man" process, and now the geek-friendly filmmaker would like your advice on another topic: Who should play the redhead hottie named Pepper Pots?

The report comes from Cinematical, and you'll be directed to Favreau's MySpace page for the bulk of the issue, but the gist is this: Jon's looking for advice on the Pepper Pots casting. Ms. Pots is a red-haired doll who harbors a major crush on our main hero ... so I'd say either Bryce Dallas Howard or ... Mia Kirshner! (What, so they'll dye her hair!)

Bryce Dallas Howard is alittle young to be playing Robert Downey's love interest. Molly Ringwald is more like it.

bryce dallas howard
is already in spiderman 3. she can't be the love interest in two superhero movies. if that's the case, we should get christian bale to play every superhero, cause he rules.

THE DARK KNIGHT!!!!!

good question.
as long as it isn't eva mendes >shudder< and her fine *ahem* acting in ghost rider.

lets say a 30 sumthin actress. no one too young. perhaps someone who hasn't done action film yet.
can't think of one yet, which i kinda like.
instead of BDH or milla jovovich or 'jean grey'

Lose the Name
I'm all about staying true to the comics, but sometimes change is good.
In this case, I think Favreau should keep the character but lose the name. Pepper Potts is an awful name for a character. It sounds like a strippers' stage name.

Jon, look no further. This is the answer.

Isn't it time for a gay superhero comedy?

There already was one. It was called "Batman and Robin."
Too obvious, I know, but what good am I if not for obvious jokes?

how about Alisha Cuthbert, or Kaylee Defer, or even Hayden panateri? Ali LArter? I'm just spitting names out really.

But pretty much anything with Kate Beckinsale in it I will see.

charlize theron. Although she's a bit too well known. I like the suggestion of taking a unknown. And please no Jean Grey...

I actually have to say I'd like to see Molly Ringwald. It would be good to see a comeback from her, especially since she was known for her firey red hair in the 80's.

a name that wouldn't be bounced around alot would be Alicia Witt, shes naturally beautiful and has a very elegant side to her, she may be slightly young fr downeys stark, but they could tweak the character
