The New Michael Myers Has Been Cast!
by Scott Weinberg | December 20, 2006
Discuss Article
No, not the spooky "Halloween" stalker who wears a mask throughout the story ... the kid! Yep, Rob Zombie has chosen a diminutive devil named Daeg Faerch to play the youthful version of the legendary babysitter killer.

You won't know the kid unless you watch some really obscure horror indies, but here's what Bloody-Disgusting.com has to say about the casting decision: "It was reported yesterday via IMDB that Daeg Faerch would be playing a Michael Myers (age 10) in Rob Zombie's "Halloween," which begins lensing in January. Today we received official confirmation from Zombie himself confirming the rumor!"

OK, so it's minor news, sure -- but I know there's lots of Zombie fans out there. So click here to see what the kids looks like.

That kid is so damn wierd looking!!!

I love Zombies flicks and I think he is gonna put a great new twist on this series. If they were good like HoTC and TDR (this is my opinion!). I think he'll do a good job on this film. Zombie himself is kinda wierd to begin with, so this could be really good.

Just image what the kid will look like after they shave his head. Zombie has proven he can direct and well at least he's never boring. There's also the chance Sheri Moon might show off her ass again. Sid Haig might be in it as well. All good reasons to see this movie.

I'm skeptical as hell about anyone remaking or reworking a horror masterpiece like the original "Halloween," but that kid looks like a good choice for the young Michael Myers. He has a placid, almost effeminate look with intense, evil eyes.

he looks like a girl...
anyway, as for the halloween series, someone ought to put it to bed now, some on its had a good run - 8 films, most of which were godawful and blackened the name of the original. I'd consider remaking some of those but never the original, it doesn't need to be remade, its a masterpiece and it wont be topped no matter how hard they try.

Yes Sheri Moon must show her ass if she's in it. Its been in every other Zombie flick. It would be like a bad omen if it wasn't in.

This Kid is Majorly Talented.
Our production group (iNFiDELiS Productions) had the good fortune of getting Daeg to appear in a short film we did for the 48 Hour Film Festival last summer. He is one of the most talented young actors I've ever seen and I couldn't be happier for him.

Watch the short here: http://www.infidelisproductions.com/48hourdcqt7.asp

Daeg plays Burning Elvis Boy.
