Early Spoilers Galore on "National Treasure 2"
by Scott Weinberg | December 20, 2006
Discuss Article
Here's where I come across a dilemma: I want to share with you the spoilerrific plot points for the eventually upcoming "National Treasure 2" -- but I refuse to read the article and spoil the sequel for myself. So I'll leave it to you to decide if the report is worth reading...

From AICN, of course: "I've heard conflicting reports about when NT2 will go into production: everything from early January to mid-February 2007. Either way, it's scheduled to be released for Christmas 2007 ... (Jon) Turteltaub will direct. ... Nicolas Cage, Jon Voight, and Diane Kruger return as well."

...and then comes the bullet point spoiler fest. Enjoy.

What spoiler?
If there was a spoiler it was taken off by request by disney. But whatever. NT was an alright film but got kinda boring. Indiana Jones it is not.

i love how when this movie came out, everyone called it a da vinci code rip off, including myself. Then when da vinci code came out, everyone (including me) said "well, national treasure was actually not so bad!"

We didn't need a sequel to this.

Drat, the spoiler was taken down. Stupid Disney.

Still, I can't wait for the sequel, as the first film was actually pretty good.

I really liked the first one. It appealed to the inner history geek. Sure it's not Indiana Jones as the previous poster said, but then again what movies are. I still think the Indiana Jones series is the best trilogy out there. Star Wars and Rings be damned. If we judge 99% of movies against Indy they're gonna come away looking like crap. National Treasure was a fun movie that I can stand to watch over and over again and it's much better than a lot of stuff in Hollywood that's getting sequals these days.
