New Cast Members Join Jessica Simpson's "Blonde Ambition"
Did you know that Jessica Simpson will soon be starring in a (semi-)remake of Mike Nichols' "Working Girl"? Yep, she'll be co-starring with a bunch of interesting folks, too. Scott Marshall ("Keeping Up with the Steins") is directing.
From The Hollywood Reporter: "The story follows a young woman (Simpson) who becomes the unwitting pawn of two ruthless business executives in their bid to usurp and replace the head of an international conglomerate." (Click here for the full story.)
Ms. Simpson's co-stars will include Luke Wilson, Rachael Leigh Cook, Penelope Ann Miller, Andy Dick, Willie Nelson and Larry Miller.

on Dec 27 2006 10:44 AM Why does this idiot get movies? I swear, that DirecTV commercial is the most annoying commercial I've ever seen. No one cares about the Dukes of Hazzard movie anymore. And she is absolutely nothing more than eye candy who duped the world with that lame tv show that everyone knew was just a platform for her to be selfish and leave Nick Lachey yearning for more. Good thing now that he is actually doing better (Vanessa Manillo is smokin') than her (didn't she just ruin the Dolly Parton tribute and, in turn, told them not to air her because she did horrible on her redo. The network should air the first attempt and expose her for the fluke she is. Okay, done venting... (Reply to this) |

on Dec 28 2006 11:44 AM Simpson is typecast already. Put her in a slasher film as the dumb blonde who gets naked and she probably would do well. But really does it surprise you that these dim bulbs like Simpson and Hilton and others get these roles? They are known for their off screen lives, so if you are in the public eye as much as these two you have an audience there. Thus Hollywood banks on that audience to see these movies.
