Sam Elliott to Tangle with "John Rambo"
With production just getting underway on the third "First Blood" sequel, we're now starting to get a few trickles of news. First we learn that the "new and official" title will be "John Rambo," and now it seems that veteran character actor Sam Elliott has signed on for the action flick.
No word yet on what type of character Mr. Elliot will be playing, but the guy always adds some spark and color to whatever movie he happens to appear in. (Heck, he made parts of "Ghost Rider" seem perfectly watchable!)
Also on board for Rambo's next action-fest are Matthew Marsden and Sai Mawng. And just like he did on "Rocky Balboa," Sly Stallone will be writing and directing this years-late follow-up.

on Feb 23 2007 07:10 AM The first Rambo was actually a pretty good story. But that's what the other's lacked. Stallone seems intent on wrapping up his franchises well, so I would bet that this movie isn't half bad. (Reply to this) |

on Jan 16 2008 10:22 PM I would have liked the title "John Rambo" more than simply "Rambo" as is now the case. Simply calling it Rambo makes it look like it's the original in a series. John Rambo, on the other hand, makes us remember that this iconic Rambo is actually a real man and not some nicknamed superhero. (Reply to this) |
