Washington Waits for "Fantastic Four" Final Cut
by Fred Topel | March 12, 2007
Discuss Article
While other "Fantastic Four" actors have spilled plenty about the upcoming "Rise of the Silver Surfer," Kerry Washington was reluctant to talk, only because she's learned from experience not to count on anything.

"We'll see," said Washington. "In the first one there was a lot more that didn't wind up in the film so I'm curious to see how much winds up in this one."

Washington still plays The Thing's blind girlfriend, and with the new Thing suit allowing Michael Chiklis to slip out of it between takes, the actress got to bond more with her costar. "More than ever before, yeah, definitely which was fun because I like Michael a lot. He's a sweetie."

She's got the blind act down, thanks to costarring with Jamie Foxx in "Ray." "I just basically did what he does. I was like, 'I don't have to do research. I'll just do what Jamie did.'"

I'm not sure why so many people hated the first one. It definitely wasn't up there with the best comic book movies, but it wasn't bad either. This next one looks very promising. I'm really looking forward to it.

I hope this one is also bad, or else I might have to go back and watch the first one. Ugh.
