62 New "TMNT" Pics!
by Jeff Giles | March 13, 2007

Its long, circuitous journey to the big screen is just about over, but those of you who just can't wait another 10 days to get a good look at your heroes in a CGI half shell, we've got 62 images from "TMNT" for your immediate perusal!

The Kevin Munroe-directed "TMNT," hitting theaters March 23, features the voices of Mako, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Billy West, Patrick Stewart, Zhang Ziyi, and Chris Evans, pits the wisecracking, pizza-loving Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and their mentor, the wizened old rat known as Master Splinter, against their longtime enemies the Foot Clan, an evil industrialist, and a horde of ancient monsters.

CG's come a long way...these turtles look way more ripped and ready for action than they did in either 2D or full body costumes.

Fighting in the rain ups the ante, but it certainly looks like Imagi Animation's done it well.

They should have stuck with shredder, bottom line! Then they should've had bebop and rocksteady in there. Then the sequel, they could've had crane or the rat king, or maybe even baxter. All of that would have been too good though.

tmnt was a comic before a television show. This is going the more traditional comic route.

Well, this is technically a sequel to the first three films, so Shredder is long dead. And I'm glad they're moving on to different villains, Superman needs to take a cue from this. I do wish it was someone I knew a bit better than Max Winters (Like Krang or Baxter Stockman), but what are you gonna do. It's not gonna be the greatest movie ever, but here's hoping it'll at least be fun.

I saw it last week, and I don't think you'll miss Shredder. Though it could have used some Vanilla Ice for sure.
