See the Prince Caspian One-Sheet!
There's a lion! And a dude with a sword!

It won't arrive in theaters until May 16, 2008 -- but Disney has already unveiled the first official one-sheet for The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, and Cinematical has it up for all to see.

Prince Caspian, the sequel to 2005's The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, follows the further adventures of the Pevensie clan in Narnia. From the synopsis:

The characters of C.S. Lewis's timeless fantasy come to life once again in this newest installment of the "Chronicles of Narnia" series, in which the Pevensie siblings are magically transported back from England to the world of Narnia, where a thrilling, perilous new adventure and an even greater test of their faith and courage awaits them.

One year after the incredible events of "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe," the Kings and Queens of Narnia find themselves back in that faraway wondrous realm, only to discover that more than 1300 years have passed in Narnian time. During their absence, the Golden Age of Narnia has become extinct, Narnia has been conquered by the Telmarines and is now under the control of the evil King Miraz, who rules the land without mercy.

The four children will soon meet an intriguing new character: Narnia's rightful heir to the throne, the young Prince Caspian, who has been forced into hiding as his uncle Miraz plots to kill him in order to place his own newborn son on the throne. With the help of the kindly dwarf, a courageous talking mouse named Reepicheep, a badger named Trufflehunter and a Black Dwarf, Nikabrik, the Narnians, led by the mighty knights Peter and Caspian, embark on a remarkable journey to find Aslan, rescue Narnia from Miraz's tyrannical hold, and restore magic and glory to the land.

There's a lot going on in that story -- and fittingly, there's a lot going on in the poster, which you can see by clicking on the link below!

Sigh. C.S. Lewis knows how to tell a story. A pity about the movies...

*Yawn* The Narnia series was, and is, painfully overrated.

I wonder if they plan to make a "good movie" this time around.

Ah. Another poster from the Harry Potter "fantasy-equals-young-leads-glowering-at-the-camera" school of design.

Yawn.

The movies are a HUGE improvement over the books. For an example the Great Battle in The L,W & W was a paragraph. We actually get to see the battle in all of it's glory in the film. C.S. Lewis was a great writer but the Narnia stories are just too short and the movies do more than justify the books. Prince Caspian is looking great so far!

Are all the kids from the first one reprising their roles? If so, the younger two really grew up!

.. It looks alright. The first one wasn't spectacular but people are complaining about it way too much.

What an ugly poster. I liked the first film enough, and I plan on seeing this one.

Yeah all four of the kids are the same as the first one.

Pilgermann, your avatar is way more ugly than the poster. LOL

I mean come on, what is wrong with it?! The poster likes great to me.

I agree with Ender. It definitely resembles Prince of Persia.

These aren't my favorite books, but the first movie was entertaining enough. I'll probably see this one, as long as the reviews aren't terrible.

Poster looks fresh. This is my favorite of all the CS Lewis books. Very excited for this one. The kids in the first film were great in their respective roles. From what I've read and the little footage I've seen from Prince Caspian (Ben Barnes) he seems like a great fit as well. Should be a stellar flick.
