on Sep 05 2008 09:45 AM i mean it's cool and all, but the idea of him going around in 2004 thinking that getting young people to vote would alter the outcome of that election is silly. bush stole the 2000 election when he wasn't even in the white house, so did moore really think bush wouldn't have enough access to fully manipulate the votes in 2004? not to mention he was running against john kerry, a fellow member of skull and bones, whose members exist only to get each other into high powered positions. i'm just saying, bush was never going to lose that election and insiders have since come forth and admitted writing programs that would make the voting machine totals read 51% to 49% in favor of bush. oh well, this could still create some awareness, but hopefully it's less inflammatory than 'Fahrenheit' which turned me off (even as a conspiracy theorizing liberal) as much as it reinforced my distaste for the right. No, they haven't. Your paranoid delusion just makes it seem that way. Which makes you the perfect Michael Moore fan. (Reply to this) |

on Sep 05 2008 01:16 PM In reply to this comment (#2018808) ok, so what exactly qualifies as a conspiracy theory then? is it anything not reported on by the mainstream media? the mainstream media can't be trusted because it's state-run and filtered for content. i just try to make sense of the ridiculous position the US is in now. for me, it comes down to motive. personally, i believe that the bush administration, with its appalling record of greed and corruption, is capable of committing fraud and even sacrificing american lives to control this country and its resources. if absolute power over the world's most militarily capable nation isn't motivation enough for a villain to cheat or kill innocents, then i don't know what would be. my question is this: what is it about the bush administration that makes you think they would be incapable of such contemptuous acts in order to gain and maintain control of america and its people? on Sep 05 2008 01:50 PM Hahahah..."sword testimony"...that was a funny typo daluzz But seriously this is a movie site and I enjoy debating the art of film and I HATE getting into politics BUT when someone makes a comment like "pornagainchristian" I just get sucked right in First of all lemme state that Georg W Bush is The Devil. Do I really have to write a 5000 word essay right now to explain why I feel that way? No I dont think I do...Im sure there's enough people on this thread that remember the 2000 and 2004 election and all the years in between of George W Bush's "ironfisted" and "tryanical" rule... I mean the dude hasnt EVER come forth in the 8 years of rule and offered any regret or sympathy for all the mistakes he's made as a President...NOT ONCE...a real person can always say what they could've did better or what mistake they wish they could take back...all this guy does, is give you that half serious/half smirk look and say "what? What do you people want to do?" Im getting carried away and I havent really even begun...BUT YESSSS "pornagainchristian" the elction was MANIPULATED flagrantly IN 2000 and it's way 2 complex for me to explain it on here to you...it would take about 5000 words and references to known facts to drive my point home... Obama for 2009 baby!!! That Republican convention was WACK...all they know is how to insult people and not talk about any relevant issues that need to be addressed in this country, other than John McCain being a POW 100 years ago...LOL...compare that to the Democratic convention and you CLEARLY see the difference in what's being offered to this country next... LET'S GET AMERICA BACK ON TRACK PEOPLE!! (Reply to this) |

on Sep 05 2008 02:46 PM In reply to this comment (#2018911) That's hilarious - vote for Obama, the guy who attended a racist, anti-American church for 30 years, who associates with an unapologetic domestic terrorist, who has some scuzzy background dealing with real estate crooks ... for change ... brought to you by the Democratic party, who has voted for every bill 'evil Bush' has put forward. Yeah, that's change. You realize your 'party of change' has a lower approval rating than the president you're mocking, right? What happened to Nancy Pelosi anyway? She got quiet all the sudden. Must be the sweetheart natural gas deals she's cooking up. More than 40 million people tuned in to to the RNC to hear Palin and McCain speak. The real agents of change will be taking office in a few months. Not your self-appointed messiah of nothing. (Reply to this) |
on Sep 05 2008 02:58 PM I seriously think no one is better equipped than Michael Moore to make a documentary about something as irritating, terrifying and yet shallow as politics. Why should someone with an even-handed outlook even bother? Go make an inspirational character-driven documentary about a high school sports team or something boring like that. I used to care (and believe me, I know how uncool and ignorant it is to not care), but I'm in a funk now that I just found out what PUMA stands for. (Reply to this) |

on Sep 05 2008 03:10 PM Wow the democrats are dellusional. You talk about how the republican convention was wack yet you liked the democratic convention? The DNC had to contain the most lying of all time in one event, everytime obama or his america hating wife or his insane VP or the lying Clintons said that he would not raise taxes or that even though he has the lowest voting record for ANY member of congress he is experienced enough to get elected i laughed my *** off. With support from such dumb****s like exectuive boss it has proven a point that the democrats are a party of retards. I have yet to hear about the democrats giving any substance on anything other than Obama failing at how he is going to get us away from foreign oil even though he wants to stop offshore drilling, stop drilling in alaska and cut the pipeline, that is surely going to work. Hell i would be happy if Obama won just so i could laugh at all of you idiots in 4 years when we are either A)Taken over by China because Obama wants to cut our military, B)We are crippled after another terrorist attack because Obama pulled troops from Iraq and showed how soft he is on the terrorists. C)We are actually in a recession because Obama taxes the hell out of the middleclass and the business causing record number of unemployed people plus record numbers of companies closing, D)All of the above. It is impossible for any rational person to vote for a man that is supposed to be a man of the people yet says things like, "Protecting unborn babies is below my paygrade." (Reply to this) |

on Sep 05 2008 04:27 PM In reply to this comment (#2018776) I didn't even know that about the election, but I live in Canada, so I don't make a point of watching the politics or politicians and their underhanded dealings. Love a good conspiracy though, kinda breaks up the day. Kinda like the American government denying Area 51 for years, until they finally got sued and Clinton had to out them. Good stuff.
