RoboGeisha: 2009's Most Insane Trailer?

Summary

It's lucky the Academy Awards have expanded their Best Picture Nominee category to 10 because here comes next year's first entry. RoboGeisha, Noboru Iguchi's delicate meditation on feminism in Japan, is your typical awards-baiting costume melodrama: Geisha assassins who kill adversaries with deadly swords and chainsaws sprouting from their mouths, transform into tanks, have machine-gun busts, katana-sword hips and... use shrimp tempura daggers to take out the eyes of villains. And that's just the half of it -- we can't quite describe certain other elements here, so be warned: this isn't PG-13 material. On a side note, who is this gravelly genius doing the voice-over -- and can he be the new Don LaFontaine? Back to Article

Um, have you even seen The Rocky Horror Picture Show? That sh*t is just as crazy, sexual, stupid, and funny as this (ok, this is actually a lot more extreme, but still, we live in more extreme times). There is no doubt in my mind that this is a real film. I think people are forgetting this is from JAPAN. The country that gives us anime porn with two lesbian 13 year old girls having intercourse and then being raped by giant alien/robotic tentacles.

Don't know why some of you are so up in arms about this, there is no way Transformers 2 will be better than this. TF2 took itself seriously and was an overbloated, badly acted, unfunny when it tried to be, (and somewhat offensive)special effects extravaganza. This, however, is a movie that does not take itself seriously, most likely is not overbloated, wants to have bad acting, is succeeding in being funny when it tries, and is a bad special effects extravaganza that is meant to be offensive.

The guy who does the voice-over was great, sound like he needs to cut back on the cigarettes or hentie.
