I'd say it's a bit better than the cartoons because when the Joes and Pre-Cobra troops were battling, their weapons actually hit each other.

Yeah, that was the best. Everytime there's a mech suit in a movie, it gets extra points from me - Aliens, Matrix sequels, Avatar (from the trailer).

Just saw this last weekend. Amazing they were able to pull it off for that budget. Makes you wonder what those $100+ million budget movies spend it all on, cheese dip? There were also some humorous elements in it that kept it a bit light.

Frank Welker voiced Soundwave in this movie and he voiced him in the original cartoons too. Fun fact, he also voiced the original Megatron.
