Vidas Privadas (2004)
Agrees With....
Posted on 9/16/09 at 8:54 AM Vidas Privadas, while an incredibly flawed film, was still interesting and worth a watch. It's a classic Oedipal tragedy with a distinctly Argentian flair: one that digs its roots into a terrifying history. I was interested in Carmen's idiosyncratic fetish and her obsession with Gustavo's voice. However, the film is very melodramatic and overly-climactic. The soundtrack borders on parody. Still, it's unique and in some ways even clever. Also, Garcia Bernal gets nekkid, and you know that's never a bad thing.
