I love the dry humor and I love it when old men are grumpy. This movie made me laugh and I'm not ashamed of it. Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau are great together.... More

Lang sets up the dilemma nicely and the group of characters and their relation to each other and the crime all fit together in an interesting way. It's definitively a good movie throughout...and then there's the ending. The ending is so bad I have to assume the censors made him tack it on. A part of me doesn't want to blame Lang for it, but another part says it's still part of the movie and needs to be judged. Anyway, it definitely brings the whole thing down a couple of notches, but up to that point it's enjoyable.
