**1/2 (out of four)

Jill Clayburgh in her Oscar nominated role is excellent in this rather tame and sometimes dull film.

A woman (Clayburgh) is shocked when her husband leaves her for another woman. Finding herself on her own, she must carve a way for herself in a world she is unfamiliar with.

It was a bold film at the time, but it has lost much of its impact today.
