Old School (2003)

Being the first film I've ever seen with Adam Sandler, I can honestly say that he is a skilled actor. The pacing can be a little thin and the plot takes an unadvisable turn about halfway but the strong emotional background and likable characters, armed with the stand-up... More
Despite the unbalanced plot and thin characters, not to mention many similarities to the movie The Strangers, Vacancy can be creepy and entertaining all the more, even being better than it could have been by limiting the gore.
With much better special effects and acting, this film is utterly superior to the first film. The second book was always my favorite, so it makes sense that the second movie should be my favorite.
Being much more funny than scary, the film nevertheless succeeds as one of John Landis's best works. The special effects are really quite fantastic and the film can definetely be regarded as a classic.
