I struggled with this one - I did not really enjoy it. I suspect that this is more to do with me than with the film; my wife thought that it was very good.

It is unremittingly bleak.

I have no doubt whatsoever that this is an accurate portrayal of a situation that could well have existed only a few short years ago, and I believe that even in Romania they have moved forward, but ... I am not sure what the point of the film is / was. Is it saying that abortion is 'good' / 'bad' ? Is it saying that making abortion illegal causes problems ? I found it all very confusing.
