Cannibal Holocaust (1980)
Agrees With....

On surface this is just a gruesome mindless gore film. However that is not the case. This film is a comment on censorship. After watching the film under that context it is a whole different story. I spoke with a friend of the director and horror critic at a conference this summer and he explained the whole story behind this film. I now have a new respect for the movie. It also has a psychological twist about how the whole time we are led to believe the cannibals were the savages but it turns out that the film crew are the real monsters. I can't get enough of it. If you have a strong stomach than this film is for you.
