Then She Found Me (2008)

Unique story, definitely worth renting. Hunt stars as April, a school teacher who has a fallout in her relationship with Matthew Broderick, just after becoming pregnant by him. Then, she meets and falls for Colin Firth, who has his own quirks. Along the way, Bette Midler appears to identify herself as April's birth-mom. There's a lot going on, here. You could arguably make two "average" rom-coms out of this, but Helen puts it all-in-one. This is clearly not your basic rom-com. I have not read the book, and am not sure to recommend that you do. |
