Gran Torino (2008)
Good movie, but somehow I couldn't stop seeing it as a comedy. Between Eastwood's seemingly random racial outbursts and lines like "get the hell off of my lawn!" I was in stitches a lot of the time; not the outcome he intended I'm sure.
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004)
I'm at a loss for words to describe this one. Eternal Sunshine is one of the most touching movies I've ever seen. It's a true masterpiece of storytelling about true love lost, and the lengths we go to to avoid the pain.
I'd also like to note this is NOT a comedy.
