His books are more far more nuanced than A-List Steven King's and yet he is the perennial second stringer. This movie is one part Charles Burn's Black Hole and one part zombie movie, it's a novel mix
A post-grad could wet his pants deconstructing this thing: the medicating of the young, the warehousing function of school, generational angst, religious self sacrifice and more. And yet with all this the movie plods along, slowly, fearlessly (for the audience and the characters in the movie) arriving with an ending, finally. |
