Excellent anti-establishment film with an excellent effort from Newman. The human spirit can be unbreakable and the refusal to conform to the status quo stood out in this film. Recommended viewing for anyone who takes film seriously.
Expectations were high with such an excellent cast (De Niro, Walken, Streep, Cazale, etc.) but the performances lived up to those expectations. I will forever be haunted by De Niro/Walken's final scene.
