J. Michael Straczynski's work in Thor has been nothing short of excellent.

Thor and The War of The Kings has been brilliantly epic, but also filled with great character work. Dark Reign is much better than I thought it would be Captain America has just been outstanding. Ditto Daredevil. Agents of Atlas is good, but requires at least some knowledge of the Golden Age to get the references. Incredible Hercules is probably the best of the bunch for sheer scope, humour and entertainment. It's what a comic should be, nailing all demographics and not taking itself too seriously.

Jason Aaron's run on Ghost Rider is pretty great.

Also, all the cosmic stuff like Nova, but especially Guardians of the Galaxy. What a great team book, and the dynamic they have makes for a great read every month.

Though, when you come down to it, I'm always waiting for Captain Britain and MI:13 and Incredible Herc. Both books are fun, exciting, and they're far enough away from the 'A' books that the creators can take chances do lots of new stuff.

Iron Fist is still a great read.

The space stuff has been wonderful. (Nova, Guardians)

Wolverine: Weapon X has me excited. That first issue was excellent.

I enjoy X-Force a lot.

The Mighty Avengers has cracked my top five. I love the new team and concept. Hank Pym rules!

These Dark and New Avengers do little for me. In fact, bumping the Thunderbolts to the Avengers has hurt that book a lot. Incredible Hercules started great but has hit a huge skid. The X-Men books still seem rudderless. I hope it comes together with the Messiah War.

Hulk has been flat out bad. How can you make battles between the Defenders and their greatest enemies seem light and meaningless???

I haven't picked up a Spider-Man since I joined the boycott over the whole marriage stealing thing. I don't miss it at all.
Invincible Iron Man is the best right now.

Daredevil, The Mighty Avengers, Old Man Logan are great too.

I agree that all the cosmic stuff has been great. War of Kings is exceptional to this point.

Invincible Iron Man is still incredible.

I'm actually enjoying X-Men Forever if only for nostalgia purposes.

They're really dragging the Captain America Returns thing too far. If the reason for him being alive is crap, don't drag it out like this. Just bring him back and move on.

I've been quite enjoying Daredevil for a little while (I just jumped in with Brubaker.) I read a little X-Force a bit ago and it seemed like faux-bad-***-silliness but with all the love given to it here maybe it would be worth a second chance.

I've got to say that I'm not a fan of it. For one thing, it seems like Fraction has never actually read Iron Man, and isn't particularly a fan of the character. It's like he's filling out a checklist. Each issue IM runs into a different bad-guy from his past, gets his *** kicked, then runs away. It's really getting old. There are certain IM cliches that I really wish Marvel would retire once and for all:

- Someone "smarter" than Tony creates "better armor".

This is both frustrating and silly, because it completely pisses on the character. There's only maybe two people in the Marvel Universe that are supposed to be "smarter" than Tony, and neither of them are better Engineers. As a fan, it bugs me that nobody is allowed to be "stronger" than the Hulk, or "a better Telepath" than Professor X, but every third-string loser that comes along builds "better armor" than Tony Stark. There has to be a way to create viable threats to IM that don't involve having some random dumbass showing up in "better armor". Of course, nothing quite matches Bendis and the arc where some idiot literally shows up off the street and "shuts down" Tony's armor.

- Tony has to go back to using the Classic armor.

Sooner or later, every damn writer that Marvel puts on this title decides to put Tony back in the 70's armor. Yes, we know it's everyone's favorite armor. It looks great on a comic cover. But for hell's sake, WHY is it the only armor Tony ever uses as a spare? We know he has plenty of other suits, because...

- Some Bad Guy Animates dozens of Tony's old armors.

Tony must spend all his spare time re-building replicas of his old armors, because no matter how many times they get destroyed, (and I think we're going on something like the 500th time by now) there's always another full set of them somewhere, just waiting to be remotely Animated to attack the Avengers or destroy Manhattan.

- Tony loses his company, gets his *** endlessly beaten down, and ends up homeless.
Now, I'm not saying that IM shouldn't face challenges. But I notice that most other Heroes are occasionally allowed to look... heroic. Now, you might say that Tony was allowed to "win" the Civil War arc, but let's just admit it, now that it's all over: Tony was always intended to be the villain of that particular arc. All the "choose your own side" rhetoric in the world won't change the fact that Cap represented "freedom and liberty" while Tony represented The Man. Were a bunch of teenaged comic fans really supposed to side with The Man?

In any event, I really wish that Marvel would just do an arc where Tony is allowed to kick some butt for once. I'm not saying he should never lose a fight again, but if Christopher Priest could do the best Black Panther arc EVER simply by having the Panther decisively DESTROY every single villain he faced, then it seems to me that maybe they could do an issue or two of IM that doesn't center around him suffering progressive brain damage, being a homeless alcoholic, or being defeated by random civilians who wander into his building and use a Magic Word to turn off his armor.

His last issue comes out on the 25th, its been a great run. Hopefully it will keep it under Kieron Gillen and be released more regularly.

Also I was never a huge Ms. Marvel fan but Brian Reed has transformed the character into one of the most interesting and formidable in the MU.

Thor really has been one of my favorite Marvel books during the run, however I don't see it continuing it's greatness... but, I do see it being more regular (it's going to have to be to keep the fan base).

BTW The Increadible Thor-cules run (with Herc disguised as Thor since he was recently cast out of Asgard) was fantastic fun.
